VILLAGE OF WALTON
LOCATION: Walton, NY
FACILITY TYPE: Wastewater
FACILITY FLOW: 1,550,000 GPD

The Village of Walton owns and operates a wastewater treatment plant located in the New York City Watershed and permitted for 1,550,000 GPD. The current facility is comprised of elements from three previous construction projects: the 1970’s original construction, the 1992 upgrade driven by consent order to incorporate activated sludge processes and increase capacity of secondary clarifiers, and the 2002 NYCDEP Upgrade to have the plant meet new water quality regulations. The most recent addition to the plant is the membrane thickener (MBT)  and screw press projects designed by Cedarwood, which will reduce the volume of waste solids produced at the plant.  This Plant is operated by Cedarwood Environmental Services.
